Organizing Your 3D Printing Supplies: Storage Boxes with Lids are Key

3D printing is a great hobby for both adults and kids. It's fun, educational, and can be used to make everything from toys to tools. However, when it comes to organizing your 3D printing supplies, it's not always easy knowing what you have and where to find it.

Storage Boxes with Lids: The Key to Organizing Your 3D Printing Supplies

A lot of us have drawers full of random items that we don't know what to do with or how they got there in the first place. This is especially true when it comes to 3D printing supplies. There are so many different types of filament, print beds and other objects that it can be hard to find what you need when you need it. That's why having storage boxes with lids is so important for keeping your home office organized.

The first thing you'll want to do when organizing your 3D printing supplies is purchase some storage boxes with lids that are big enough for everything from plastic spools of filament to extra print beds and even the printer itself! You'll want at least two different sizes so that you can fit everything in one place without having too much space wasted on empty space inside each box.

A small storage box with a lid is an excellent way to keep your items organized and safe from dust and other contaminants. You can use one of these boxes for each type of material that you print with so that your entire supply stays together and easy to access at all times.

There are many different types of storage boxes available on the market today. Some are made from plastic while others are made from metal or wood. Whatever material you choose, it should be sturdy enough to hold up under regular use. The lid should also fit securely so that it doesn’t fall off while being moved around or carried by hand.

Some people prefer using bins instead of traditional boxes because they tend to be cheaper than their counterparts. However, they also tend not to be as durable as box-style containers which makes them less ideal.

When you do some research on 3D printing, the first thing that will pop up is that you need to have a good storage box or organizer for your 3D printing supplies. But why?

First of all, have you ever tried to find something in your garage or basement? If so, you know how frustrating it can be when you don't know where to look. That's why it's important to keep everything organized so that it's easy to find what you're looking for whenever you need it.

Second of all, 3D printing can be messy and time-consuming. You might have a big mess on your hands if you don't have somewhere to store all of your materials and tools. You also don't want them getting covered in dust and dirt which might negatively affect the quality of your prints.

Thirdly, having an organized workspace makes it easier for people around you who may want to borrow something from your 3D printer or ask for help with their own project because they know exactly where everything is located!

There are many different types of storage containers out there but I'll list some of my favorites below:

Airtight: I really like using these to store ABS filament (or any other plastic) because it can be subject to humidity and moisture.

Food-grade silicone: These are great for storing PLA (and other) filament because they're flexible and easy to move around your workspace.

Dryer Boxes: These are good for storing small pieces and parts that you don't want to get moisture on or get damaged by dust.

Shelving units:
These come in many different styles and sizes, from simple shelves to multi-tiered units that can hold a lot of stuff. They're great for storing smaller items, like the ones you buy at the hardware store. I have one that holds all my drill bits, nuts and bolts, screws, etc. It's easy to access and it keeps everything organized.

Toolboxes: Toolboxes are great for storing larger items like saw blades and drill bits as well as smaller things like screws and nails.

Drawers: Drawers are another option for larger items like screwdrivers, hammers and saws. If you need an extra large drawer unit, you can even get them custom made!

Boxes with lids: Boxes with lids are great for storing smaller tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and wrenches because they protect them from getting damaged or lost inside other containers or drawers. You can also store small parts inside their own boxes so they don't get mixed up with other parts that fit together differently.

You can find storage boxes with lids at any office supply store or online. I prefer the ones with handles because they're easier to carry around.
